Clouds ‘n’ Sunlight
Sunlight dances;
barreling smiles;
at curmudgeon clouds.

Absurd Snippets by Blair Gaulton
Inspired through a conversation with Paul and Sharon
Absurd Snippets
Did you do bad things
with my phone?
So you ordered
80 scones,
and a chuck wagon of
ribs ‘n’ straps;
trying to do an absurd rap;
about the cat.
The bony scones;
laugh ‘n’ roam;
while bungee- jumping
through the ocean’s foam.

From Puddles to Pools
Puddles congregate;
merging surging;
into pools;
littering street;
then submerging swaths of it.

A Portrait of Life
I have lost;
I have won.
Been smart ‘n’ dumb.
Done crazy stupid things.
Soared;
crashed;
come undone.
Been afraid;
spoken words,
I’ll never repeat again.
Been right and wrong.
Been good ‘n’ bad;
happy ‘n’ sad.
Been labeled
‘n’ called many things.
Found and lost love;
Refuse to give up;
in spite of the pain.
Keep on living;
much to learn and gain;
You’ll find many good people,
friends, those who you love,
‘n’ treasure along the way.

The Block
Looking for words;
to release my block;
‘n’ drop the rock.
As long as;
it does not hit my foot
in the sock.

The Argument by Blair Gaulton
Another poem which I wrote today; which was inspired by the weather. :-)
The Argument
Rain ‘n’ snow argue.
You are frozen rain; says rain to snow.
You are wet snow; says snow to rain.
Sleet jumps in; I am the best of both.
The cloud shouts.
Stop arguing ‘n’ complaining;
you all come from the same source.
Everything else is snobbery.

Air
Air does not care;
about if we are here or there.
Upset ‘n’ protests about the pollution;
we uncaringly pump out everywhere.

Screaming at the weather;

A Toast to the Gale
I raise my mug to the gale;
as my mind ‘n’ body set sail.
Hugged and embraced;
the wind puts a smile on my face.
Together,we sail from this place
adventure awaits!

How A Clown Fights Being Down
Sat down;
with a burning frown;
scalding him deep inside.
As people pass by;
grinning he makes them laugh ‘n’ smile;
with his faces ‘n’ moves.
Boisterous laughter approves;
as he trips over his own shoes.
Their laughter saves him;
from his excruciating blues.

The Skunk’s Dream
The funky monkey
avoids skunky;
who thinks he hunky ‘n’ chunky.
One or these days;
the skunk complains.
He’ll do an ad campaign
‘n’ commerical.
Then everyone will exclaim
his defensive smell;
drives everyone insane;
in a good way;
instead of driving them away.
