or delay

Better to know

battering your soul.

or watch someone else
have a chance to be happy instead

than what appears

I am culture too

Airport
At the airport
you can buy
many things
from lingerie
to onion rings.
As people run past
trying to catch their plane
others wait
drinking coffee chatting
to kill some time
until people arrive
some watch
trying to catch someone’s eye
getting a smile
conversations start
numbers exchanged
a happy moment
that brightens
the day.

The Battle Against ALS*
Every day
I am unable
to do some things
that I could do before.
Spreading
slowly
overwhelming
shutting me down.
I cannot face the day
with a frown.
I must fight on
to the end.
Eventually
will not be able
to move at all.
Now, locked in my body
the mind is free.
I will do all I can
to get people
to understand me.
