Thoughts Before Surgery
My body awaits
the knife
to fix
what has gone wrong inside
to make it right
my day will be night
as I sleep
allowing the work to go on
Yes, I am nervous about
what could go wrong
The doctors are competent
they know their stuff
enough worry
go under
trust
believe
all will go
as it should be
