Every day has its developments, challenges and opportunities. The way we see ourselves and the world around us will reflect whether or not we see all of these things in a positive or negative light. How much time we devote to these matters depends on how important we think they are, the amount of time we have, and if we feel we are up to dealing with it. A lot of things we do are motivated by our own fears which tends to stop us even before we start. I am guilty of this and am working on changing this. It can be done, one step at a time, day by day. It comes down to us evaluating things and making decisions based on reality and not fear. we hold ourselves back. The only way to go forward is to not be afraid of shagging up(making a mistake). Years later do we want to look back at what could have been and mourn our lost opportunities? We have our lives and they are not unlimited. A quote from the movie Dune I personally cherish is "The Sleeper must awaken". Time to wake up and be who you want to be. It may not be easy, or always fun but if you really want it, you'll find a way to get it done.
There will always be people who will tell you are................. insert whatever colourful adjective into that space, for daring to consider that you can be something other than what fits their image of you. You can. There will be countless critics, so you do not need to put yourself down, they will do that for you. Part of the challenge is to recognize that we all have power. Allowing other people to put you down is giving them power over you. Do not do that. Some people enjoy using this as a weapon to make themselves feel important or superior. They are afraid to see you grow and develop. If anything these people should motivate you to work harder to reach for your goal/dream/vision. They are a part of your journey of development towards your final goal. Accept that their opinions are not important to you because they refuse to help you become what you want to be. You need to be around those who will support your vision and work with you to acheive it. That is important. It will take time stick with it and you will make it !
There will be times when you will feel like giving up or will not succeed. We must realize that it is very easy to quit. You do not need a P.h.D. to quit. Stay the course, you need to as the song by Journey goes "Don't Stop Believin' " and keep on going. With hard work, time, believing in yourself and persistance you will make it. This has been my experience .
