Absence of Words
An absence of words;
disturbs;
the flow.
Better let go;
give it time.
When the time is right;
it will suddenly appear.
It was always there; somewhere;
because you needed time,
and stopped blocking yourself.

Word’s Long Reach
Words have weight;
whatever we now might think, feel
or contemplate.
What we have written;
can cause others
to react to it.
Now, and in the future;
in ways we can not anticipate.

Drafts How many drafts do we write
shaking our heads
saying it is not right
we do not want to settle for second best
even if it robs us of our rest
puts us in a bad mood
we can only conclude
time away from it is needed
enough of this stuff
go away
do something else
even if it is painting the fence!
