Poem June 15th 2016: Words by Blair Gaulton

Words
Words speak for us;
when we cannot.
They reach beyond our limitations.
Have an appreciation for their power
‘n’ effect.
Weigh well what you write;
it may well follow you;
for the rest of your life.

Poem Dec 6th 2015

Words
Words are not wrapping;
nor decoration.
only if you are of the political
persuasion.
You use almost every occasion;
to use them in this way.

Poem Feb 15th 2015

Words
Can cocoon and mislead.
Harm those yet unborn;
cover our world
in hatred’s storm.

Words can
fuel love and wondrous deeds
that will be told for generations to come
they are the seeds
inspiring others to do the same
to bring our world back
from its destructive track.

May all our words
inspire others in a good way
so one day
they can say
we helped to spark their flame
to build a better world again.

Poem May 21st 2014

Words
Words
are sparks
can warm hearts
with love and passion
or burn everything down.
