The Battle Against ALS*
Every day
I am unable
to do some things
that I could do before.
Spreading
slowly
overwhelming
shutting me down.
I cannot face the day
with a frown.
I must fight on
to the end.
Eventually
will not be able
to move at all.
Now, locked in my body
the mind is free.
I will do all I can
to get people
to understand me.
