Keep On Going
Every living soul has been hurt.
We are all pieces;
we’ve all been down ‘n’ defeated.
Times when we feel empty
alone and been mistreated.
Pulled away and retreated
Now is not the time to give up.
You are on the cusp
of being where you want to be.
It is not easy.
Stay the course.
You’ll make it.

Terrorists
You who have created many pieces;
by your actions;
think the remaining ones
will cut each other up;
creating a bigger mess than before.
A new picture is emerging;
all the pieces are converging;
forming anew in unexpected ways.
We are entering a phase;
these are the days;
our world will never be the same.
Your diverse acts of death
‘n’ destruction in many names,
and places;
violates all beliefs;
hurts and shames this world.
Humanity has seen it before.

you want or expect.

Becoming by Blair Gaulton

This weeks dungeon prompts is becoming you in 111 words. For more details go to the link

http://theseekersdungeon.com/2015/10/15/dungeon-prompts-becoming-you-in-111-words/

Becoming
Sat here;
as shards on the floor.
I ponder once more;
my life;
doubt plaqued
Poisoned by unsureness.
Scared
I must wake up.
I know what I want.
I know what I feel.
I must not cave in
to my doubts.
I must face them down, and
work hard to turn my life around
So I do not end up;
like a living mould of jellied sadness.
Yes, there is harsh battle within.
I will not give up;
not sink but swim.
Keep on going in spite of tough times
Get my passion and energy flowing
Yes, I will succeed and will be
happily showing
The value of not giving up.

Poem Sept 25th 2015

Based on a Conversation
with Grandfather
Tho’  we do not know
what will come;
or if we’ll see the next sun.
It is better now to live;
give what you can give.
Help where you can.
Do not mourn;
about your lack of time.
Be as you are;
give the world;
a reason to laugh and smile.
You’ll have touched countless lives
Be fondly remembered
in many hearts and minds.

Poem Aug 11th 2015

About Underestimation and Supposed Weakness
Those who only see weakness in a person or situation; as an advantage to themselves are not really looking. They are falling into a trap; because they think there is no strength present. Their underestimation will cause them untold difficulties. Afterwards, they will see that what they thought is weakness is often incredibly strong and is even stronger than them. Never underestimate anyone or anything!

like that beautiful tree.

Insomnia et al by Blair Gaulton

I am a creative person who enjoys doing many things. Theatre, writing, dancing, martial arts, giving shiatsu massages to help people get pain relief. I like being active and spending time with people. I have difficulty sleeping and have had it for a long time. I have a very active mind and I find it hard to turn it off because I get a lot of ideas. What i have been doing recently is to physically exhaust myself by doing a lot of walking; so that I feel tired and can fall asleep. For that to happen, however I need to be mentally tired too. I have learned to accept; if I cannot sleep, to let it be and not to force it or  think about it too much.
  Quite often I do some meditation and that does relax me a bit and occasionally it does result in some sleep. That is what I am going to try now because I have a busy day ahead of me.

Building Shakespeare
No I’ faith;
or by your leave.
T’was a building;
of a Shakespearen set;
you would not believe.
Our spot had been keel hauled.
So we wandered afar;
By gar!
Random bikes and frisbees;
flew around.
Also some;
unusual and intriguing sounds;
in the background.
We did it, had fun.
Proud it was a wonderful show.
we also drowned them out;
cause we were loud
Drew a fine crowd;
their applaus was balm;
for our Shakespearen souls.
Priceless as gold!

Poem July 16th 2015

Inspite of Shipwreck
Shipwrecked on land I may be;
but inside of me;
lives the sea.
I close my eyes
I feel my native ocean’s call.
It gives me strength
when I face life’s squalls.
When I dance;
the wind from home carries me;
I fly happily as if it were a shanty.
If feel I lonely;
the fog’s hug
gets rid of the loneliness’ bug.
Yes, I miss it.
I can close my eyes;
I am there;
fills me with good cheer.
It is even better when I am physically there.

Pattern of Trying to Fall Asleep

When I cannot sleep;
I have found a pattern;
that I repeat.
I write for awhile;
If that does not wear me out;
I walk until I cannot walk anymore.
When I return; I sleep for sure;
unable to do anything else.

Poem June 10th 2015

In the Name of Peace
Diplomats dabble;
trying to unravel;
difficulties
by talking, and travel.
Often looking for a common ground;
where there is none to be found.
They do it because they want a peaceful world
and don’t want our world fall into war’s swirl.

Poem June 9th 2015

Live Your Life
Sickness, illness, and disease
are a part of life.
It is important;
that you do not let it;
be used to take away your rights.
Nor stop you from doing;
what you want to do;
with your life.
You might have to fight;
against sickness, illness or disease;
every step of the way.
Never give up.
You must live your life every day.

A Form of Hope
Tiring myself out;
to the point of exhaustion;
so I can sleep.
Otherwise I would be kept awake;
by thoughts that refuse to retreat.
Only brings sadness and pain
and a sleepless night again.

Thought
We all need time;
to realize;
that we have good and bad inside.
Every decision we make;
no matter, what we contemplate;
will have good, and bad consequences;
for ourselves, and others.
Whatever we may choose;
think it through:
refuse to be rushed.
That way you can carefully decide.

Remembering 2
Remembering in a positive way;
brings a longing;
for people, places, and times;
when you felt wanted, loved or desired.

Feels hard to survive,

Waiting For the Bus
People staggered;
along the side;
waiting for the bus to arrive.
Sort of a line up;
a smattering of mumbling;
grumbling;
the occasional loud stomach rumbling.
Some people fumbling;
to find their tickets;
playing games or sending messages to kill time;
until our ride arrives.

Umbrella Tree 3
Umbrella tree excessively pruned;
I hope it has not been ruined.
It makes me sad; seeing it this way.
I miss seeing the lovey leaves;
that embrace you;
when you stand beneath.
it is more than a retreat.
A welcoming feeling;
when you stand  there.
An oasis of calm;
no matter what is going on.
It is a place, I love to be.

filled with a lot of pain.
Felt as if a railway train
driving through my brain.
Went to the doc;

When will it go away? I ask;

everyone getting impatient;

We all have other trains to catch

Poem Mar 23rd 2015

Don’t Wait Until Midnight Part Three
Can you afford to wait?
Talk now;
before it is too late.
There is no right or wrong time.
The person whom you love;
cannot read your mind.
They will not know how you feel
unless you reveal;
what you feel deep inside.
Please listen to my appeal.
I once waited too long
to tell the person whom I loved
but she was gone.

Poem Mar 19th 2015

A Wonderful Summer Picnic
Warm beautiful weather
as we arrived on time.
Through the field
to a nearby tree
and a prickly stream.
Put the cooler to the side.
Hauled out the blankets.
Lay down cuddled together;
watching clouds
gondola through the sky
we smiled enjoying it
for awhile.
after eating; you played some beautiful songs
I read some poems
then hand in hand
we slowly went home.

The Blossoming Tree
Building built
like a blossoming tree.

come from all over to see.
also to express how they feel
about the gigantic created blossoming tree.

Grandma’s Story
Sun quarrels
through the sky.
Trying to argue the clouds away.
Most go
a few stay.
Grandma said
that’s why today.
We have a cloudy yet sunny day.

Music Therapy
Tired
feeling withdrawn
totally gone.
No energy left
my heart feels bereft.
Need some music
to perk me up.
So I won’t give in
even though I’ve had enough.

Poem Mar 9th 2015

Spring and Winter
I see flowers
soaking in the sun.
Grass peppering
out of the ground.
Sounds of spring
are all around.
Winter grins
watching it all.
Gotcha
laughing
as snow falls.
Will it end soon?
Stay tuned.

Poem Mar 7th 2015

Encounter With Alzheimers
Empty look
worried face
looks at everyone
sitting near her place
asking us all
who are you?
why are you here?
tears fill our eyes
we do our best to remind her
who we are
why we have come
some of us from afar
because we all love her.

schellacked by sun.
Doused awake by rain,

Winter’s Art: The Snow Coned House
Snow coned house
frozen
yet protected from winter’s ravages.
With the start
of Spring’s thaw
the house began to fall
apart.
Someone took the house and snow
kept it together
called it Winter’s Art.

Poem Feb 21st 2015

In the Station 3
Huddled in corner
watching people go by
when he plays music
people gather ’round
smile
admiring his talent
yet wondering how he ended up there
give him money
to show he is worthwhile
with the hope
he’ll get off the street
and back on his feet.

Ode to Persistence
Quitting will never do
If you want to be you
whatever may come your way
you keep working for the day
when you can say
I did it
I got through
You believed
in yourself
Then you can say
What’s next?

Poem Feb 15th 2015

Words
Can cocoon and mislead.
Harm those yet unborn;
cover our world
in hatred’s storm.

Words can
fuel love and wondrous deeds
that will be told for generations to come
they are the seeds
inspiring others to do the same
to bring our world back
from its destructive track.

May all our words
inspire others in a good way
so one day
they can say
we helped to spark their flame
to build a better world again.

they listen for a bit
deciding enough of this
rambling away in search of food and fun.
